Reps – News, Documents and downloads
What is involved in being a County Rep?
We as a County value all our links with our membership and we see the role of a County Rep to be one of the main channels of communication with our members.
Every affiliated Golf club is invited to nominate one member to be a County Club Representative. This allows clubs the opportunity to discuss and share ideas with the county committee at Reps Meetings held periodically throughout the year. It is important to remember that information is vital both ways, ie we always welcome new ideas, comments and input from our members and, likewise, we also need to share our ideas and thoughts on future planning/events with our members.
We see the County Club Representatives’ responsibilities to be to:
- Act as the focal point at Club level on County matters
- Attend all County Representatives meetings. If unable to attend, to arrange a deputy to attend in their absence.
- Provide feedback from the Clubs at the Representatives Meeting
- Actively encourage Club members to attend County events
- Provide assistance to the County Competition Secretary at County Events held at their Clubs. E.g. Starters, raffle ticket sales.
If you have anything you wish to discuss or share please let us know by emailing contact@glamorganladiesgolf.wales and it will be added to the agenda.
